Our adventure starts as we meet in Stockholm to outfit everyone with top-quality camping gear. We get to know each other before boarding the night train, setting off northward toward the stunning High Coast of Sweden (Höga Kusten). The overnight journey in sleeper cabins allows us to rest and recharge, ensuring we’re ready for the exciting days ahead.

We arrive early in the morning and catch a short bus ride to the entrance of Skuleskogen National Park (part of Höga Kusten), where our hiking expedition begins. As we make our way through the lush, scenic forests, your experienced guide shares fascinating insights about the park’s natural beauty and unique highlights. By late afternoon, we reach the coast, where we set up camp for the night. Dinner is prepared over an open fire, as we settle in and share stories around the campfire. If we’re lucky, we may even catch a glimpse of the northern lights. For those who want to keep exploring, there’s an option for a coastal hike without the heavy backpack before night falls.

After a well-deserved rest, we start the day with a relaxed breakfast and coffee, soaking in the beautiful coastal scenery. Our hike continues deeper into Skuleskogen National Park (part of Höga Kusten), where we aim to reach the iconic Slåttdalsskrevan, a dramatic gorge carved through the landscape. In the late afternoon, we set up our second forest campsite. After a rewarding day of exploration, we enjoy a hearty dinner, followed by an early night’s sleep, as we prepare for the final leg of our journey.

We rise early to begin our hike back to the bus station, retracing our steps through the forest. After a brief bus ride, we board the daytime train back to Stockholm. We arrive back in Stockholm with memories of a truly unforgettable hiking adventure.

The hiking tour in Höga Kusten demands a medium physical activity level. Most of our customers have no trouble with the required fitness, as we maintain a relaxed pace. We always ensure that everyone gets the best possible experience and provide extra support if needed. Please keep in mind, we walk partly off-trail, which adds some additional challenges. You just need to be in normal health to participate. However, for some customers, it can be a demanding exercise that they may feel in their legs and feet after the activity.
