Our City Kayak Tours are ideal if you want to explore Stockholm's landmarks, historic waterfronts and vibrant city centre from the water. Stockholm Archipelago Kayak Tours are better suited for those looking to experience untouched nature, peaceful islands and the Swedish outdoors.
Most of our kayak tours are suitable for anyone with a normal level of fitness. We paddle at a relaxed pace and take regular breaks to enjoy the scenery. Our longer multi-day kayak tours require a moderate level of fitness, but you don't need to be an athlete to enjoy them. If you're unsure which tour is right for you, we're happy to help.
We run our kayak tours in most weather conditions, including light rain. In Sweden, we say, "There's no bad weather, only the wrong clothing." Simply dress appropriately and you'll still have a great experience. If weather conditions become unsafe, we will contact you to reschedule or cancel your tour.
Kayaking in Stockholm is great throughout the year, with each season offering a different experience. June, July and August are the most popular months thanks to long daylight hours and warmer temperatures. May and September are ideal if you prefer fewer people on the water, while our winter kayak tours from October to April offer a unique way to experience Stockholm and the archipelago in a quieter setting.
Tipping over is uncommon, especially in our stable tandem kayaks. Before every tour, your guide provides a full safety briefing and paddling instructions. If you do tip over, our experienced guides are trained in kayak rescue techniques and will help you get back into your kayak quickly and safely. All participants wear life jackets throughout the tour.
